Lord Drachen von austerberger

I started the lord off with a basecoat of Rakarth flesh and made sure to get a solid coat as it is a lighter colour and absolutely needs more layers in order to have a proper solid coating.

After the Rakarth flesh I applied a generous but not overzealous amount of the new contrast yellow from the Citadel paint range to all of the fleshy areas. This was then washed with agrax earthshade and then highlighted with ungor flesh.

I chose this colour scheme for the flesh as I wanted a ill jaundiced look for the skin. Personally I think it turned out well. This is an easy scheme that I will be using on all of my fleshy troops for this army.

I also basecoated the claws with zandri dust, after the yellow had dried on the flesh, just to ensure there was no accidental mixing between the paints.

After the zandri dust had dried I applied screaming skull, which I then washed with agrax earrthshade, and layered again with screaming skull. I then highlighted the claws with pallid wych flesh.

After the yellow on the flesh had dried I layered ungor flesh to all of the raised areas, ensuring that I did not get any into the cracks and crevices.

The blue was started with Caledor sky, layered with Teclis blue and edge highlighted with lothern blue

That's it for me this week. Next week I'll be showing off some skitarii vanguard. Happy gaming.
