Another X-wing list: The Blitz

How will this list work? Well the avenger squadron pilots, tie interceptors, will act as both a bubble for my heavy hitting scimitar squadron tie bomber, but will also act as bait when enemy ships want to try attacking my bomber. The scimitar squadron pilot will then move up with its prodigious payload and try to eliminate whichever target it deems as the juiciest target, having the firepower to do so. The assault missiles are there for eliminating the threat of spam lists such as tie spam, and Z-95 spam lists, as the assault missiles will damage all ships within 1 of the targeted ship. The proton bomb is there for wiping out larger targets such as the YT series ships of 1300 and 2400, Firespray, Houndstooth etc. 

Preliminary impressions? The lynch-pin of this list is in the bomber, with a hefty 40 points total, and an armament large enough to low up a death star, it has the ability to pack a heck of a punch, even if it is double the point cost of an avenger squad pilot. My hope for the bomber is that it will take out whatever it is that is most threatening on the opposite side before getting blown to smithereens, though with enough hull points I imagine that it shouldn't have too much trouble with that. I just hope the avenger squadron pilots can draw away fire from the bomber long enough for the bomber to do its job, and be worth its hefty point cost.

Suggestions for improvement? Perhaps in my next list, I could use 5 academy tie fighter pilots instead of the 3 avenger pilots, though they have less maneuverability, one less attack and lower pilot skill than the interceptors, I would be able to make a larger bubble around the scimitar pilot.

My wallet might hate me after these lists, I'd have to pick up 1 more interceptor, and potentially 3 more tie fighters :-)
