Recently, as I was in need of a change, I got some more work
on my Seraphon done rather than on my genestealer cults. I’ve been working on
my temple guard,
And just last night I finished up the scales on their backs. I started with a khorne red base, with a layer of 50/50 khorne red wazdakka red, another layer, this time of pure wazdakka red, an edge highlight of all the scales with evil sunz scarlet and a final wash of watered down carroburg crimson. I dulled down the look of the scales a bit because I plan to make the purple very bright by the time I'm done with the purple skin.
and since I haven’t shown it off yet, but got it done a while
ago, I’m finally posting pictures of my bastilodon, of which I’m actually
fairly proud of.
I had even tried to do my temple guard shields like the
scales of my bastilodon, and let me tell you, on a much smaller scale
transition like the one from the bastilodons back, to the ones on the shields,
is a difficult transition, but I honestly think I did a decent job on these
smaller scales in getting them to be much more like that of the bastilodons and
creating another point of uniformity rather than just the red and purple of the
skinks on top.
I think the progress on these guys is now getting to a decent point, rather than just a glacially slow progression of painting.
Well that's all for now, but I'll have another battle report soon and some more progress on my genestealer cultists, but before I leave, I'll show you what I have done so far for my stegadon too
All right, that's it for now, but I'll be back again very soon.
