Sentinel!

Yep, I painted a sentinel up. I painted it up mostly for my Vostroyan Firstborn, but I've been toying with the idea of doing some serious conversions for some Genestealer Cult Sentinels. Maybe combine organic with robotic to make some seriously messed up sentinels.

Initially I intended to do a diorama display for my Vostroyan fighting against my GS cults in a ruined hospital with an underground section. I still am going to do that but I need room for that, haha!

Anyway, the base on the sentinel is supposed to look like ruined hospital flooring with pipes exposed and tile ruined. I'll be going back to paint up the sentinel in a bit more detail later on I think, as well as paint up and magnetize the weapon options.

That's all from me for now, thanks for taking a look and keep rolling 6's!!

Noise Marines: Green With Envy!

Hey hey! Now that my first Reef Troll is complete I'm on to my next project! I wanted to paint up some noise marines in the most obnoxious green I could currently create with the palette I have at my disposal. So here are the first few coats of paint on my first five Noise Marines.

I wanted to blend in that yellow to the green, the yellow being the demonic entities within their armour and the powers of Chaos warping the beings within.

These are what they look like with finished armour. Very bright and honestly kind of spectral looking, which I'm not displeased with.

I think I did an alright job blending the green and yellow into each other for the chest pieces. There's still plenty left to do on these guys but at least I can say their armour is done for now.

As soon as I finish these guys up I'll move onto the next batch of 5. Lots to do and very little time to do it in honestly. Oh well, such is life!

Keep rolling 6's everybody!

Reef Troll #1: Complete!

Finally my first reef troll has been completed! This took far too long, even though I only had time while at camp to paint, so maybe 15 to 30 minutes a day. Anyway, here it is in all of its Brineblood Troll glory!

For the basing scheme, I tried something new. I tried using tissue paper and super glue to create a wave. It may have smoked slightly. Just slightly though, nothing burst into flames but maybe next time I'll use white glue instead of super glue. I may give the sand a coat of gloss as well later on down the road to make it look more beach like.

Also, as I was taking pictures, the troll fell off of my table and the shield itself sheared off of the attachment point between the troll and the shield, so I'm going to have to fix that! How unlucky! That's life though I guess. Overall I'm happy with the end result (even if I do need a small light box I can take with me)

At any rate, here are the rest of the gubbins and what-nots that interchange with the other parts on there.

That's all for this week folks, have a fantastic day and keep rolling sixes!
