A couple Xorn

 Why my oh my! What could this be? Oh it's a couple of colorful Xorn! (Note to self get better pictures!) 

I wanted to go with some colorful colours for these guys, firstly so I could test my skills just a little and push myself on working with colours I don't usually work with (orange, and green mostly) and trying to make these colours a part of the main focus of the model and really draw in the eye of the beholder as it were. (Ha!)

Another Leucrotta!

 

A wild Leucrotta has appeared!

For this one I went for a colour scheme that was in more natural tones. I wanted it to look somewhat like a mountain lion or lion. Something that looks more natural and realistic tends to look really fantastic on fantasy models, at least to me. Perhaps it's  because it invokes that sense of realism and brings it that much closer to reality.

Hopefully it brings a sense of realism to you as well, and has it leap from this page to your minds eye, where it might stalk some form of Astral plane or savanna in a distant far off land.

Termagants + more

Termagants! Lots of termagants! Plus more! 

As you can see I painted up these termagants in my red and white scheme. This is a scheme I've been liking, but I'm also looking at playing with it a little more in the near future. I think the white shell could look really good with some other contrasting colours like deep blues and vivid and bright greens. 

What I might do is make the skin look like it is phosphorescent, like many deep sea creatures, with the dark red tones and then some vibrant blues and greens. Just some personal food for thought.

The Teal Speal

 I don't know about you, but I'm kind of digging the unconventional colour scheme on this Leucrotta. The teal with the purple went together rather well and I think the whole thing is well tied together. Even the shading is on point which is nice to see after the camera shots because photos don't always turn out the way you want them to, but in this case it turned out quite well if I do say so myself.
