Well, long time no see, good sirs and madame's of the internets. Today my article is
going to be upon the Tyranids of Warhammer 40000. I feel it should be a multi part series and so without further ado i begin.
We're going to start with a basic 1000 point list, and I'll go through why i think its a decent list.
HQ:
Tyranid Prime: Dual boneswords
Elites:
2 zoanthropes
Doom of Malan T'ai with mycetic spore
Troops
10 termagants
8 genestealers with scything talons and broodlord
8 genestealers with scything talons
8 genestealers with scything talons
3 Tyranid warriors 2 deathspitters 1 venom cannon
Now, ''why is this list good'' you may ask. It has few footsloggers and dies FAST! well, yes and no. Lets take a look. Our HQ is relatively cheap, and with two boneswords, can walk around the field killing just about any character you'd like it to. Not to mention the special little perk it gives the warriors when he joins their unit, increasing their ballistic skill and weapon skill, and in turn increasing their survivability, not to mention his. The zoanthropes are there for tank popping, with their short ranged warp lance they still get enough done to keep tanks from running down your stealers left right and center, not to mention their awesome survivability with warp field, a 3+ invuln isn't anything to scoff at. Doom will eat any infantry within a 6 inch bubble, so drop him in the middle of the enemy line and watch the panic ensue. The termagants are there for one reason, sitting on whatever objective you may have. Now on to the Genestealers. The meat and potatoes of this force if you will. You use the stealers to pop whatever small transports they are in, and to completely destroy everything, power armour or not. With the strength of them, combined with rending, not much in the ways of infantry can beat them in close combat. Now their armour is paper thin, so a single round of concentrated fire will obliterate them, but saying that, just outflank them and you'll be fine.
So lads and lasses, what did you think? Informative or not? what's your opinion?
All about my miniature wargaming journey, from painting and playing to sculpting and production. I hope you have as much of a blast reading my blog as I have had in making each post!

Much accomplished have I
Alrighty, so lots of things have gotten done. I've almost finished sculpting the first miniature for my game, I've entered a painting competition, and I've gotten some more mini's painted. I also finished playing Mario Kart Wii and I plan on making a review sometime soon and I finished creating a new base for models and I've already begun production of them :) Enough of my jibber-jabber, on to the pics.
First up, Deamon prince, both finished and unfinished pics:
Now on to some of my custom made bases
Alrighty, so that's all for now folks, stay tuned and stay awesome, a review for Mario Kart Wii coming soon along with pics of my first creature from my game, a giant worm. I'm at a loss as to what to call it at the moment :)

A few current projects
This is a current project I'm working on at the moment, it is going to be a house, more specifically, a more medieval style of house for a merchant or other sort of more wealthy being :)
This is a skeleton I'm sculpting from scratch. Any and all constructive criticism is welcome as this is one of my first bipedal sculptures. :)
And this is my first dwarven sculpt, let me know what you think, please and thanks :)
Pics as promised :)
As promised, pictures. These are from some of my dark elf host from warhammer fantasy battle, a product of games workshop. Whats that? more you say, why certainly.
A glimpse of my warhammer 40k nurgle force, not all of it mind you, just some. my pics won't be all over the place next time, I promise :) I used two part epoxy putty or "green stuff" for the tentacly thingys, and the head on the barrel of the tank. Enjoy, and please, give all the constructive criticism you would like. Thanks
